Arnold, an Arkansas Baptist board member, donated the collection to benefit the school’s visual arts program. “Anyone who knows me is aware of my passion for all the arts. I’m excited to see growth in our visual arts program and hope the collection will inform and inspire our students,” Arnold said.

The collection is comprised of nearly 1000 limited edition lithographs with an appraised value of over $170,000. “We are enormously grateful for the Arnolds and their continued support of Arkansas Baptist,” David Sanders, Arkansas Baptist director of development, said. “Our students, both present and future, will benefit from this wonderful gift.”

We were blessed to have Jason Curry from The Church at Rock Creek teaching and preaching God’s Word to our high school students. Our worship leader was Dove Award nominee Nathan Gaddis from The Church at Rock Creek. The theme for this year’s 180 Week was “A look in the mirror.” Jason challenged each person to take a real look at themselves in light of the Scriptures. God worked in our midst as several students made decisions to accept or renew their relationship with Jesus Christ. We are very blessed to have a school where God’s Word can be proclaimed openly to our students.

This year to advertise 180 Week, students in the Digital Imaging class were asked to create a poster. Grey Dunnaway’s poster was selected from all the entries as the top design. Other students whose work was also selected included Megan Porto, Thomas Hall, Amanda White, Ben Gipson, Hayley Goodson and Katie Colford. The class is taught by Mrs. Kim Van Namen.
